A Safe Haven for Women
The Maison des Femmes at the Béziers Hospital Center aims to provide a unique space dedicated to welcoming and supporting women who are victims of sexual and/or domestic violence. It offers a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach that includes medical care, psychological support, social assistance, and a range of complementary services (legal advice sessions, access to rights, sports, socio-aesthetic care, artistic activities, etc.) available to women and their children.
Led by a team of committed professionals, the Delphine space provides simplified access to the sexual health center while facilitating coordination with external partners, including associations, law enforcement for filing complaints, the justice system (lawyers from the Béziers Bar), and public services such as France Travail and the CAF.
Over the past year—and thanks in particular to the support provided by ALTRAD Solidarity—1,682 consultations have been carried out, including 193 involving minors. In addition, 42 group sessions on emotional, relational and sexual education have been organized in schools, and 223 women have received ongoing support.
ALTRAD Solidarity is very proud to support this important and much-needed initiative.
